About this model & references
This model introduces visible parts and joint regions. Hoof undersides show a simplified sole, frog, bars and grooves. Left and right always mean the horse’s left and right.
The skeleton is a simplified teaching model for recognizing major structures. It represents a common adult configuration; individual horses vary. It is not a scan, a dental model, or a guide to diagnosing lameness. Fine joint surfaces, skull detail, ligaments, tendons and other soft tissues are not fully represented. The labels and broad relationships were checked against the references below.
