From a rider’s first lesson to a first horse show—and through seasoned competition—we support a wide range of aspirations. Instruction emphasizes equitation, correct riding fundamentals, thoughtful horsemanship, and steady progress in a positive, encouraging environment.

Rates are per rider and per lesson. Once- and twice-weekly options are listed separately. Private lesson openings are limited. Tell us about your experience, goals, and availability so we can explore a suitable placement. Our instructors consider each rider’s needs, horse availability, and the lesson schedule when recommending a starting point.

Billing and attendance
Billing, cancellations and makeups.
How are regular lessons billed?
Lessons are invoiced four weeks in advance. Additional lessons outside the regular schedule are billed separately.
What happens when a customer cancels?
For cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice, email the farm. The email timestamp determines whether your notice meets the cancellation deadline. An eligible makeup must be completed within two weeks of the original lesson. With 24 hours’ notice or less, text your trainer directly; the lesson is charged and no makeup is available. No-shows are also charged.
Where can I see my makeup credits?
Recorded lesson makeup credits appear in the client portal under Lesson Makeup Credits. Contact the farm to arrange an eligible makeup within its deadline. Makeup credits apply to lessons; they do not become cash credits or change your billing balance.
Can weekend lessons move?
We attend weekend horse shows frequently, so weekend lessons may occasionally change. If Shadow Creek Farm or your trainer cancels a lesson, you have three weeks from the canceled lesson date to complete a makeup. We provide as much advance notice as possible.
