At Shadow Creek Farm, we are deeply committed to helping each rider reach their fullest potential—whether you’re setting foot in a barn for the first time or you’re looking to refine advanced skills. Our program is designed to support riders at every level with thoughtful instruction in both hunter/jumper disciplines. We also proudly host a competitive show team that participates at both local and regional levels.
We tailor each lesson to suit the individual rider’s goals, ensuring a safe, supportive, and rewarding experience. Our mission is to instill not only strong horsemanship but also responsibility, confidence, and a love for the journey. If you have any questions or would like guidance on where to begin, we invite you to reach out.
Beginning August 2024, Shadow Creek Farm will transition to a more structured lesson program aimed at supporting riders who are dedicated to growth and consistency. New and existing students will be expected to commit to riding at least twice per week as part of this shift. This change reflects our passion for developing serious, motivated equestrians who are ready to invest in their development and become part of a thriving, competitive horse community.
To ensure each rider is a good fit for our program, we now require all new applicants to complete a detailed application form. This helps us better understand each rider’s goals, experience, and commitment level so we can provide the highest quality instruction and support. We truly care about your journey and are excited to partner with riders who share our values.

These prices are for per person, per hour.
Your first time huh? No problem! This is where we ask riders to start off. This is a 2 hour course that starts you with the fundamental basics of horses. After this course we will set you up with private lessons to get you proficient enough to move on to group lessons. Please note that availability of this is limited as we plan it around our normal lesson schedule. Please contact us directly and we will get you setup within a week or so on this program!
Private one on one lesson. All new students are required to take private lessons until you are ready to move into a group setting. Private lessons are only offered for a limited amount of time. Riders must be capable of grooming and tacking up on their own before moving into a group. After that period unless you are on the show team privates may not be available unless we have openings in our schedule.
This group setting environment is more riders that are capable of keeping up with the group they are placed in.
30 min lessons are for those riders already participating in one lesson a week and fully able to groom and tack on their own. This is to help supplement their current lessons.
Please refer to our billing policy at the top of the page on the main menu.
Above pricing is for both locations. Shadow Creek Farm uses QuickBooks for automatic billing. Clients are invoiced every 4 weeks, in advance for lessons. This allows you to secure your spot in our program with a trainer. If you need to move or change a lesson, with 24 hours notice we will accommodate.
